Peace and quiet

What a wonderful world. Grass immacuately lawned, a view to die for, trees creating the gentlest of breezes and protection. In such a setting the afternoon siesta takes on a different connotation – a heavenly peace. The hotel gardens extending back from the pools are a real joy, an invitation to spend time idly and indulge in a pleasing novel and so leave the daily humdrum of life a distant memory.

Relaxation is the order of the day. A hut in shaded area away from the pools provides snacks, vegetable extracts that reinforce the immune system and assist the digestive process and fruit.  Comfortable sunbeds and loungers invite you to while away the hours in the most inviting of spots. It would seem that the phrase ‚outdoor life‘ has a meaning and quality all of its own in this sumptous setting.

A tennis court and an area for the Italian equivalent of bowls („bocce“) are at the rear of the garden park area and once the early afternoon sun has passed its peak a dabble at these ball games will revive memories of sporting challenges lived elsewhere!

Wimbledon calling

At th rear end of the garden park is a tennis court, inviting you to rally away in the shade of the martitime pines and refreshing breeze. Imagine you are younger than young again and ready to become a champ!

Bocce is all about Italian relaxation

Has there ever been a more relaxing and convivial game? What a pleasant setting immersed in the green of the park, looking out over the happy hills.

The valley of cypresses

There is not only Bolgheri. There are not only the cypresses of San Quirico d'Orcia, splendid as they are on the hill. The cypresses are dotted here, there, and everywhere and they are the very embodiment of this landscape.
